Carrdvarks Challenge (wedding card)

I find it a real challenge to use the Hero Arts stamps Speckled Ornament. I must admit that I was "stumped" on this set when I first got it in my hands! This is the first time I used this image. Oddly enough, it seems alright to use this set for a wedding card for the Carrdvarks Challenge (see here)!  I like the formal and elegant look from this stamp and then I just went from there...
Here's the bait:  BIG reward: The winning entry will be published in Scrapbook Trends CARDS Magazine's July 2010 issue..."
CL401 Speckled Ornament, Distress ink (Spiced Marmalade),Hero Arts (Soft Sand Ink), Glossy Accent, Stickles, gold ribbons, button, heart charms.

I know it's next to impossible to get published....but a girl can always dream, right?

Speaking of weddings, my friend's daughter just got proposed! Her boyfriend apparently tried to propose to her on the top of a hill since he is an avid hiker. In the middle of winter in Canada...a hike?? Well, guess what!? She got injured during the hike to the hills....and ended up in the emergency! He told her repeatedly: "this is NOT something I had planned...". He then concocted a surprise outing a few days later and had his friend escort her to a limo which took the love birds right to the hill. He then bent down on one knee and asked her. And she said YES!! I think I NEED to go see a romantic comedy badly...it's long overdue!

Oh Virginia, I need a FRESH TISSUE.............SO HEARTWARMING and ROMANTIC. Too bad that we can't go to the movies to see a romantic comedy together......I LOVE those movies. A good chance for a good cry and laugh, all in one! LOVED your SWEET wedding card, too. You really do have a VERY creative mind. Thank you for inspiring me. Maybe you could do a "tutorial" on CLEANING and ORGANIZING?????? THANKS, Love, Karen xo

Great card Virginia! So elegant. i always think there is a perfect card for every stamp, it just takes longer to unlock the potential of some! Great engagement story. My SIL's husband proposed up a mountain. He took his best friend too so that he could hold the dog, carry the champagne and take a photograph! There was a big crowd of other hikers at the summit and they all cheered when my SIL accepted! Jo x
