Embellish (color challenge-birthdays)

When I saw the new challenge at Embellish , I thought ... there's NO way I can come up anything with this rich and vibrant color combo! I mean, it's so out of my comfort zone!
With that thought stuck in my head, I kept thinking that wouldn't it be nice to prove myself WRONG?  So I picked out the HA stamp Birthday Expression that I rarely used and this is what came up.
Well, I know I can be more creative with the colors and design, but this is not horrible pretty good...considering what I had originally thought.
I am glad that I prove myself "wrong"  :-)

I think you did remarkably well with these colors and how terrific that you pulled out this older birthday set, I just happened to look at this set today too! So pretty with your vertical panels and all the bling, like how the word 'celebrate' is so central and the focus too!

Pretty good indeed! I was thinking about this challenge as well but came to the conclusion that I could never make these colours work because they are out of my comfort zone as well! LOL! Maybe I should try. :-)

Well done, Virginia! You've taught me a good lesson - when in doubt, choose a good image and do it in those difficult colors. I love this!!
