Just when you think you had enough of my birdcage cards... here I go again! Carrdvarks is having a picture inspiration challenge (see here).
So do I forgo this chance? NO, absolutely not. This card took the most planning /thoughts as I can't remember when last time I actually had to do something like this. I am a fairly quick card-maker since I'm very impatient in nature (at least that's what my kids told me). This exercise really forced me to think and plan ahead. I even made a "prototype" for the design and see if it works. I don't want to make just another bird cage card. It has to
I thought about using button, ribbon, brad....,but then I realize that butterfly wing is the easiest (least intrusive) and goes perfectly with the design.
I printed out three bird cage images (all next to each other and scored a line in between the cages) and folded the first two (back to back) and then you have a opening bird cage! I embossed the both sides of the white card stock with the CB folder and left the middle plain. I tried to mimic the background of the inspiration photo. Love the texture!
Hope you find this card has that little something.... As you can tell, I really enjoy making one. I hope you enjoy looking at my labor of love :)
