Spring Babies.....

Spring is almost here...which also means Spring babies! We have two of our family members' birthday coming up in April. What a special time of the year! As our office nurse Julie's due date (in May) is appraoching, I made this card for her upcoming arrival of the TWINS! I'm also entering this for the Embellish (see here) since I used the color scheme for this design.
It all started with my son David's grid paper which were the leftover from his Science project. I thought that it will be neat to use for the background. Then I came up with the design.
I added a lot of (perhaps too many!) buttons on the side.
I think I got carried away with the scallop borders, too (LOL)!! I just love the process of this card-making. I'm sure Julie is excited (and will be overwhelmed) with the raising of the twin babies! After many interviews and a few glitches, we found a young nurse to cover for Julie (one year maternity leave here in Ontario, Canada). I know this year will go by very qucikly for Julie. Oh the joy of parenting....

Oooooooooo Virginia I love the buttons on the side! Such a cute baby card! And here is something funny I always see people using grid paper and I think to myself where do they find some paper like that, is that a stamp? I wonder if my scrapbooking store has any.... Haha! How funny am I? Now I know where to get it!
