Carrdvarks Challenge-Monochromatic!

When I saw Carrdvarks's latest challenge sponsored by Core'dinations, I knew I had to try. Core'dinations is the only sandable ColorCore cardstock! You can sand it, tear it, emboss it and so much more to reveal the hidden core color. I love the hand-torn look an I decided that I should just run with that idea. I pulled out my stash of Coredinations and picked one color (with three different shades) and put them to work. Here are my materials...
I found my old dusty English dictionary and I then realize it's time to use it for my hobby. I almost never use the book version any more, the Encarta dictionary on my computer is my go-to version instead. I'm glad that  I'm giving the book a new page of life.
So here is the result. The background appears to be more yellow than orange even though I used Spiced Marmalade and Wild honey to distress it.
When I made the paper flowers, I felt like that I was in the Kindergarten class all over again.....SO fun!
Thank you for stopping by. I must say that I have been having so much fun thanks to your sweet comments. They really keep me going :) I'm sending this card to my college Englsih teacher Ellen. She is a very special lady in my heart!

Love the card and really like that you've shared what you used and how you used it. I've not used that type of cardstock, looks fun so will have to pick some up. I agree aren't the flowers just so much fun to make. I hadn't thought of using and old dictionary to make the flowers with. I used newsprint and really didn't like it because the ink comes off every where, your idea is much better!
