EBTK #13 Challenge-Sketch

I was so intrigued by this EBTKS Challenge sketch as soon as I lay my eyes on it and I have been thinking about it. Yes, I'd rather think about the card designs than "WHAT'S for dinner!?" (sad but true for my family.... ). The first thing that came to my mind is that it is a like....a PURSE to me!
I am not sure if that's the intention behind the sketch design, but I can't come up with better ideas and I thought to myself...why not use this sketch and make it into a purse card!? Without a template, I used one of the pattern paper (Large Artsy Circle) that I made and started from there. When there is a will, there is a way! Does it look like a purse to you?
I don't know about you, but this card certainly makes me want to go shopping with a girlfriend!! Now that I have the template, I definitely can make all kinds of purse cards with different designs, colors and texture!! It is fun to go outside of my comfort zone and try something new. I was asked about the template, you can find out from the comments in my Hero Arts Flickr photo stream (see here). My DS David is starting his yearly local piano competition starting tonight and it's going to be a busy week taking him to practices and performances! Wish him/me luck!

This is wonderful! I can't believe you did that without a template! Wow you were inspired. It's a fabulous purse. It has bling and everything! Great job Virginia. Good luck to your Son. My older two just started piano lessons this year. My 6 year old is very into it. My 5 yr old not so much but it's taught him discipline.

This is one of the most darling purses I've seen in a long time! Love the rounded and soft edge! The colors are beautiful, and wish a real purse would look this pretty! Have fun with David! I was given a pamphlet recently for a music/piano class for summer for C, I may invest time into that! Whohooo!

Dear Virginia....
I scrolled down all you works in this lovely blog.. How I missed a lot of your fabulous cards and dishes. Now I know more, that you are such a loving and caring mother and wife. I love reading all your family stories. You are my inspiration of holding the family tie. Thanks, Virginia, for always telling stories in such humorous way.

(PS: and seeing this purse and reading your wish also make me want to go to the biggest handicraft exhibition in Indonesia tomorrow morning. I think I should book the train ticket to Jakarta right away)
Hugs,
Dwita.

This is the best retail therapy! What a beautiful handbag! You can design them and they would sell on Etsy. So pretty! Love handbags you can always get a fabulous bag to make you feel great and store your girl treasures in them. I know David will do well with his piano, he is such a fine young man and creative\passionate like his mom!
