Me...Scrapbooking...again!

It's been 10 months since I last attempted scrapbooking as I am sometimes just too intimidated by the large blank space to fill. Since today is the National Scrapbooking Day, I wanted to participate in the Hero Arts Blog challenge. I finally broke out my newly arrived stamps and found one pretty photo of my DD Stephanie and YES, I made a page!Yipee! Boy it was HARD.
It's funny that she wore Dr. John's Supertramp shirt from a concert in 1978 and she LOVES it.
John is glad that he saved the shirt after all this time.
This picture was taken by David during our cruise to Alaska. He did an awesome job! I think this photo makes it easy to scrapbook for :)

Gorgeee-oh-so!!!! Oh my... I love the photo and that you did not overwhelm it. Your daughter is a beauty!!!!!

This is what I think scrapbooking should always be.. Simple, focused on the photos and the story and accented with our art!

Love it!

This is beautiful Virginia and a wonderful use of space. David took a beautiful picture too. My first love was scrapbooking but I too find it more difficult to play with such a large space (and I don't like the journaling) and I've gotten so use to card making.

What a beautiful photo of Stephanie!!!! The page looks very natural like an artist sketch book with the layout, stamps and colors. I could not agree more, I do not like scrapbooking because of the big pages to fill. Your page is inspiration for a beautiful card! Really wonderful page with the stamps making stephanie a beautiful focal point.

ADORE you layout Virginia, it's fresh, so fun, and has lots of spunk..and with all that...it is still serene and calming because of the way Stephanie is in the photo...she's happy and contemplative at the same time!
