Etsy Inspired Challenge # 96

First of all, how about some piano music to go with this blog post? Skip, if you are not in the mood...I totally understand. Besides, it's only my son David's playing  :)
Have you ever looked at the vintage items and then thought :"Wow! I could really use this piece!". Welcome to this week's Etsy Inspired Blog. The shop of the week is Octavia Brown (Handpicked vintage for Home) which will remind you of that feeling..."I NEED this!" There will be a givaway (see 7 vintage etched glass plates here). The sponsor is Charleston Scrapbook Company . The prize is a surprise pack full of Cosmo Cricket paper pack, dew drops, chipboard album and more! ( I am all jealous already!) Any how...here is the photo that inspired me. Simple yet so effective!
I finally got my brand new CHIPBOARD out to play as this package has been sitting on my shelf for the longest time! I added some acrylic paint...
After some working and a little thinking, I turned the inspiration into this!
For more inspiration, please check the awesome creations from our Design Team! Thanks for stopping by!

Love your Etsy inspired card! The pencil frame and paper piercing look brilliant! Love the big, bold "hi" too!

Sometimes just seeing a prompt like your acrylic paint across the very same fabric stickers I owe too is enough inspo on what to do with my set ;) I've used mine, mind you, but how to give them new life ;) thanks Virginia!

Hi Virginia! I buzzed by your blog earlier yesterday, but didn't leave a message............I'm sorry. I'm always amazed at how talented David is at playing the piano (among other things) and I can't help but wonder what our house would be like to have him sit down and play for us on our "hand me down" piano! It would be like heaven since I feel that our house is always like the morgue! Now about your DARLING card, it's so FUN. Love that you got out your chipboard and thought to paint the letters. They add such a nice dimension to your card design. Looks like you stepped out of the box on this one! SO CREATIVE, Virginia.
Love, Karen xo

This is so so cute Virginia! The pencils are so cute and I love the sentiment at the bottom! Very fun to use the "hi" as a main image, I'll have to try that!
