My Coffee's A-ha Moment

Canadians love their coffee! I have now lived in Canada more than half of my lifetime. I have to do what the Canadians do -have their daily cup of joe. Like anywhere in the world, the "invasion" of American Starbucks is inevitable.
BUT when it comes to things distinctively Canadian, our Tim Horton's coffee (also known as "Tim's" or "Timmy's") has always been a staple. The last time I went to Tim's for my morning fix, I noticed the vintage image on the coffee cup. It's retro, home-spun, and warm -just the perfect image for coffee lovers. Then my "A-ha" moment came...why not transfer these images onto CARDS!
Both cards were made from the same cup!
I plan to mail these to a Canadian friend who now lives in Hong Kong. I sent her two cans of Tim Horton's Coffee this June. I think she will love the cards!
ADDED note: I used the cup that I drank and washed it and dry. THEN I cut up the images out for my cards. The material from the cup are so sturdy! They are perfect for a card. I think I must do this on a regular basis now!

Oh, Virginia....this is too clever!! You are the most efficient recycler, ever! Did you photocopy the cup or simply cut it out? I can't tell, but I LOVE it!!

Thanks for leaving a comment on my blog. Yes, I miss Tim's. I am from London--just down the road. Spent my first 30 years there-worked at Victoria Hospital.
But my last 25 years have been here in MT. Run to Calgary or Lethbridge when I get cravings for home.

I love your cards. Found you through Leslee's blog.
I am one of the rare Canadians who dislike coffee. I do love hot chocolate from Tim Hortons though. I hate when people call it Timmy's, it just irks me, lol.
