Off to Work...and a card!

Starting this week, I will be working all of the afternoons at hubby's ( you may know that Dr. John is a family doc) office. His temporary part-time nurse found a new full-time job else where and quit! It was QUITE a process to hire the part- time nurse last time around and I'd rather not go through that all over again. I am upset not terribly thrilled about this. But that's life, right!? I am not a trained nurse, but I CAN assist a few things or two. Part of the "problem" is I have to wait till the regular nurse (who is on maternity leave with twins) comes back in April! That is a LONG time!
Can you see my frustration? Well, let's share a card to calm myself down. I made this card a little while ago. I used blue Perfect Pearl water and then misted it in the textured paper and then stamped the image. Love the shiny image. It was almost impossible to emboss the raindrop background ( after a few failed attempts), so I stamped it with Color Box Chalk Ink in white and then colored it some more with white gel pen. It worked!
Sending you lots of hugs
On a happy note, I have a interesting blog post to share. My Hero Arts Flickr Friend Lorena starts a new series called Case a Card Monday (CACM). And guess who she chose to case this past Monday?! ME!!!  Please drop by paperella plays and leave Lorena some love!! I hope you are staying relaxed and warm...meanwhile, I will be assisting the doctor with a pap test!! I am very determined to keep my blog going and I think I need the blog more than ever before...don't you think?!

What a FUN, blog post, Virginia! Glad to hear that you survived your first day! Not only do you AMAZE me with your creative talents, but I can't believe all of the different "hats" that you wear when not crafting. Good luck with the pap smear, better make my appointment, soon........not at your office, at mine! :) Anyway, I LOVE your card. It's DARLING! Embossing has never been a forte of mine, so glad you were able to make it work with the other ink. Sure is sweet! OK, have a nice day, tomorrow. I'll look at the other blog a little later. Love, Karen xoxxo

Virginia you are so funny! I love your pic demonstrating your frustration. Lol! It was so great to talk to you last night. I guess you could tell that I was super excited and couldn't squeeze everything in because we had to go. Your such a sweetheart and you inspire me so much. I hope today is a great day at the office and sweetie you will do just find being Nurse Aid to your hubby. Off to check out the rest of your post cuz it seems like I have missed out on some important news of yours. Not intentional just know that! Life seems to be fastly going bye and I am trying to find time to organize my life, get inky sometimes, leave some comments on my friends blogs, and spend time with my family. All that when I am not helping with home work and trying to stay on top of the cleaning. So please know that I will try to check back here more often. I am trying to do better with that this year too. Love all that you have been doing. Your the one to follow because you are becoming a real superstar. Congrats! Anyway off to see what I have missed and then off to add onion to my pot roast! Lol!

LOL, those cute oranges are a great representation for your frustration. Heehee! Your card is beautifully serene and I love it! I love the way the dots on the kraft echo the snowy scene on the inner panel and the red bling is a great embellishment!

Funny post! Not so fun that you're losing out on crafting time though :(
I created a very similar card today (similar layout and even used a polka dot ribbon)--too late to take a good pic of it. I'll hopefully post it soon.
Congrats on being CASEd!!

I am so sorry for your frustration, but I love how you express it! That orange photo reminds me of me fussing at my 5 kids. I don't get into full-on holler mode very often, so when I do, they look at me just like those little kumquats! I hope things get better for you at work very soon. Until then, keep blogging!!!
