I wasn't planning on decorating a gift bag. But somehow I just can't find a proper gift bag to use for a friend. Looking through my huge stash of gift bags, they were mostly for Christmas and birthdays. I found a plain white one--totally naked! So I got to work JUST before I went to bed....and once I started, I just can't stop. Here's the result.
I chose to use the biggest stamp Silhouette Grass that I have. I must say that I don't use it often enough. But with this little project, it really comes in handy. Stamping it over the bag twice and it's done! No fuss at all. Four distress inks were used ( Peel Paint, Crushed Olive, Tea Dye, Vintage photo) for stamping the image. I added the gold Stickles for the shinny effect. Since this gift receiver is a guy, I tried to keep it neutral and not overly flowery. Here's how I made the tag by using Washi tape and die cut it with my new spellbinders. Then I applied SRM Sticker over it. Easy yet so effective!
And this is how I made the ribbon flower. All I used was a cutout circle and then glue the frilly trims around the circle. The ribbon is dark brown although it appears to be black.
Since Moxie Fab World Gift Wrap Challenge is still going on, I may as well enter it for the challenge! Double the happiness!
So far David won two 2nd place and one 1st place in piano competitions. I was SO proud of him! Thank you for the well wishes and I'm glad that you stop by. The two part excitement is coming up next, I promise!
