I know I should be out going for a run, getting my garden ready for planting, doing Spring clean-ups....BUT here I am , making more cards! I love how the challenges make me think about the designs! To me, it's simply the BEST part of creating. I made two cards for the Lily Pad Card Challenge. There are so many to choose from, I highly suggest you to check the blog out if you haven't.
First off, it was a book-cover inspired card Cover Lover-Auntie Mame. How smart is that idea?
I took the postal envelop color strip as the inspiration. I chose International Skyline and Travel Journal sets for my design. The theme of the cover has to with traveling the world and exploring...so I went from there.
The special features of this card is the book-shaped sentiment which was from Starbucks coffee sleeves. It worked really well with the Cuttlebug!
The 2nd card I made was from the sketch created by Lucy.
I made a simple card with the sketch. As I stare at my new Penny Black Party Time set, I noticed the balloons and how fun to pierce them with a needle (eeek) !! Edited note: please check out Elizabeth's coloring tutorial and become her follower. She is amazing!I colored the images with copics and used Twinery for the strings. The sentiment is from SRM Stickers.
Edited note: This hedge card was featured as the Fabulous 4 (see here)
It really is a simple design and I hope this card makes you smile :)
