Cards from the Seaside...

Since summer is just around the corner, I felt more inclined to make cards that have the summer feel. This week's CREATE Blog was to make cards with "waves". I don't have any stamps that has waves, the closest set that I have is  Antique Engravings. The shell image is lovely, but it is somewhat challenging. At least that's how I felt at first... I ended up making three sets of cards! Lately I love masking stamped images  a lot. Masking is perfect for one layer card. The colors here are: Antique Linen, Scattered Straw, Vintage Photo and Wild Honey. The sentiment is stamped in Spiced Marmalade .Edited note: I am entering these two one layer cards for the OLW 57  for the beach/summer scene.
Merci (1)
After making these two one layer cards , I made this one
Merci (2)
The I made a slightly different one from the 1st and 2nd try.
Life is Beautiful
Are you feeling summer breeze yet? Lastly I used the Cosmo Cricket Paper and created a card without any stamping. I love the vintage image of children playing by the seaside, so I had to make a card with it.

Edited note: the last beach card was featured in CREATE blog (here)
All of these cards' sentiment are from SRM Stickers.  I think I am feeling the summer!

Wow, V! Love every one of these! You got some really good impressions with the TH inks! I tend to never get good impressions when I use TH for a sentiment.

All these cards are neat, but my faves are the masked shells in different shades of earth tones, and the last card, with kids splashing in the water. I like how you put the 'waves' around their feet!

All your cards are super, but my favorites are the one-layer ones! Those are so crisp and perfect and simple! I have antique engravings and never thought to use it for this challenge. You've inspired me!
