CAS-ual Fridays Challenge #18

Welcome to CAS-ual Friday! So glad that you stop by! Now let's get the challenge started!
The challenge this week is all about honoring the International Literacy Day! Please create a CAS design based on a book and use the colors--black, white and red! You can use a children's book, fiction, non-fiction...whatever you like or read!
Isn't that a FUN theme!?
Our sponsor is Paper and Such
Here's my take on the challenge. I am such a Jane Austen fan. Her last completed novel "Persuasion" is one of my favorites! I love how the character Anne came to a full circle and finally followed her heart at the end of the story....she did, indeed, loved Captain Wentworth  (isn't he handsome!!??) all along! This video (PBS, 2007) may just help you understand what I mean. The ending is...so romantic!

  Now (uh...hmm...)..onto my card.
follow your heart
so what do ya think? I hope this helps you to get creative juices flowing. I can't wait to see what your read and create! Please link up your card to CAS-ual Fridays  by September 7, Wednesday, midnight Eastern Time. Have FUN!

Love this story and the book, Virginia. The subtle contrast of this card is simply striking - especially the shadow stamping of that eye-catching leave. You rock! Keep reading.

Virginia, this is amazing! I adore the pop of red over the top of the text background. You nailed this challenge, my friend. I've never seen the movie, but you've certainly made a convincing argument that I should check it out. Maybe I will next time hubby goes out of town! LOL Congrats on all of your recent challenge wins - you're setting the crafting world on fire, girlie!! Now we ALL know what an amazing designer you are - the secret is out!! LOL I'm so incredibly happy for all your good fortune in your crafting life - it is so well deserved.
