Horizontal Sketch Challenge

My 2nd take on Horizontal Sketch Challenge over Moxie Fab World. (Here is the First take ) I had some inchie pieces from Inchie Art. Each inchie is made with artist grade materials and is so easy to stamp on and distress with. So with the sketch, this is my design.
sending you love

Since my design is very boring simple, I thought it is a good idea to add some dimensions to the flower. Here is the close-up.
Today is the 10th anniversary of 9/11. Do you remember where you were 10 years ago? I was out and about and heard the news from the radio about one of the twin towers got hit,  my first thought was: " Some VERY serious pilot error!!!" We could have not imagined something so ...unthinkable and terrible had happened. My first and last visit to the World Trade Center was in the summer of 1985. I remember going up to the top of the tower and was amazed how TALL the building was .....The world had changed much since. All we need is LOVE.

Love this second take Virginia.

On 9/11, we were living in paris, I was going to school to pick the 2 kiddies up when another Mom told me about the one Twin Tower...D.H was working in the States. We went to the park for a little while and I will always remember watching an American Dad getting a phone call and screaming in disbelief...

we need a lot of LOVE indeed!!!

Gorgeous card, Virginia! Your inchies are so pretty and I love the dimensional flower!

I remember exactly where I was 10 years ago (can't believe it's 10 years already). Myself and hubby were on a day off work and just by chance heard the news when it happened. We just couldn't believe what we were seeing when we turned on the tv.

I was at an offsite mtg for work. I'll never forget the receptionist coming in to tell us what had happened. There happened to be a tv in the room and we all kept staring in complete silence.

Your card is absolutely gorgeous. Love the colors and botanical feel.

I love this beautiful card, V! The stamps you used are perfect for the inchies!

I was home on 9/11. David was only 6 years old and sick, so had stayed home from school. My hubby called from work and told me to turn on the TV. I couldn't believe it and couldn't stop staring at the screen. I remember when the first tower fell, I started to cry thinking of all those people. David came in the room then and asked me why I was crying. I was careful only to tell him that a big building had fallen and many people were hurt, but that it was way far away from home.

Virginia, good job you scratched out "boring" - heehee. Your card is fabulous and what a great idea to make that flower dimensional. LOVE this card!

I was at home with my mum and her friend was visiting. MY sister called and told us to turn the television on. We just sat in watching the it in complete horror and disbelief. I visited New York a few years later and the tour we were on took us by the site, I couldn't bear to even look. My thought are with everyone that was affected or involved with this unspeakable tragedy, today as they commemorate.

Beautiful card today Virginia!

I remember exactly where I was 10 years ago. I was working at the MSP airport and we heard about the first plane hitting the tower and we all ran up and watched the terror on the TV's. It was very strange to go back to work at the airport over the next few days while all air traffic was shut down (felt like a ghost town) Such a sad event in our history.....hard to remember all those emotions.

That is a beautiful card Virginia, love all the white space and the images you used! I have a whole shoe box of inchies which I got an art store to cut for me from an art board type material. I should use them!

Yes, I do remember. Hubby and I were on the most romantic holiday in a Chateau in Aix en Provence in the South of France. We were just coming back from a walk and saw all these people in this little shop huddled around a TV. I said I think something bad has happened, so we rushed back to our Chateau hotel and they had a big screen and we just stared! We spent most of the remainder of our stay there glued to the TV, crying in total disbelief and sadness, checking on his Mom & Dad back in the US to make sure they were ok! My thoughts and prayers are with all those that were affected and still are!

Love your inchies card Virginia. Lovely colours.

I live in Australia. Ten years ago on 9/11 I was watching TV and about to go to bed. (It was about 11pm Aust time)I decided to stay up a little longer and watch the late night news.
I sat in disbelief when I saw what had just happened. I called my husband from another room and we could not believe it.

Such a LOVELY card!! Yes, I remember exactly where I was when I heard the news. I was driving my children to school and heard the news on the radio and couldn't believe it. I remember being just stunned. Rushed home and turned on the TV and was just horrified by the events that continued to take place.
You are right...all we need is love.

Artful tiles Virginia.

I was at work and was stunned to hear the news. Such an emotional day.

Not boring, beautiful! Love the colours.
I was teaching that day, and learned through a memo the school board sent to each school. Longest teaching day of my life, then came home and watched the news coverage for hours. And even yesterday, it was hard to not watch all the riveting images, even if you don't want to.

This card is fantastic Virginia! LOVE those tiles, so cool!

how cute! Luv the little flower & a tiny pearl in "love" :-) I was at home, doing something which i don't remember but my TV default at that time was on, which was CNN. And i heard the breaking news, and went in front of TV, and saw the second flight coming LIVE and i don't remember after that. It was too shocking, i even dont' remember what i did, after that that day. Probably i sat in front of TV all day. I cried for a week, on and off, watching CNN, and I changed my TV "default" to weather channel. Since that day, I don't watch news much cuz most of the news are sad :-(
