Did You Know....

(19-year old Hong Kong student Jonathan Mak posing with the Apple tribute logo that he designed.)

...that so little...can say so much?
After coming across with this article (see Apple Tribute Logo), I can't help thinking about being a minimalist about designs in general. I love the following message from this article.

The teenager said the Apple founder had inspired him in his design.
"He was a minimalist, which is the way I would like to emphasize in my design - fewer elements but a powerful message."

Indeed, what a powerful image that he had designed-- the Apple logo along with Steve Job's silhouette image! Absolutely brilliant! With this inspiration, I came up with a card like this... just missing you
This card has two simple elements- one focal image and textures.
I used the Cuttlebug wood grain folder and ran it through twice (crisscross). Then I used a hard sponge and distressed the surface. Then I added the score lines and faux-stitching. This seems to fit into theme over Moxie Fab World's Textured to Perfection Challenge.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

WOW! What beautiful texture! Your work never ceases to amaze me! I love the apple, did you hand draw the lines on the apple or was that part of the stamp? Thanks again for wowing us!

The texture on this is fantastic, Virginia. I love how the trio of gems mimics the spots on the apple, and the faux stitching adds a perfect frame.
