Just Saying Hello and....Sharing

Hello there! I hope you are enjoying this fine fall weather in your corner of the world. It is absolutely GORGEOUS out there! My son wants to go biking with me in the woods--ha, consider that as a compliment :)! We are having Thanksgiving here in Canada. I didn't make any Fall or Thanksgiving card, but I would still like to share a Hello card. I'm not making it for challenges or contests or submission or DT assignments. I just made it for fun--that's enough reason for a post, wouldn't you say?

Fall colors are beautiful, however, these cheery and bright colors will always bring us a big smile!
JUST SAYING hello
This Birds on Wire is a digit Kit from Hero Arts. I love the simple coloring. The birdies are so small, so that makes it less intimidating to color them. Here I used a combo of Copic and Marvy Markers. Then I added Glossy Accents for the extra shine. Simple!

Lastly I want to share what I am thankful for:
~Having this blog and sharing my love of card-making with you. Many of you are always so encouraging and positive as to what I post here. There are times I am just not sure what I had just made... But with one comment from you really changes my perspective and keeps me coming back to make more mess cards. I don't know how long I will keep blogging and stamping. But for now it's the best therapy and escape from all things mundane and stressful in our daily grind. I'm sure you would agree!

~Having my family being supportive of my hobby. Over the last three years, I can see that I am "letting myself go"....I don't care as much how I dress, how my haircut went, what new trendy/fashionable clothes to get and how little I had exercised. Instead, I am obsessed super enthusiastic with the new stamps, gadgets and tools....and what cards I am making. But my family see this hobby/blog as part of me and they are happy that I am happy creating. And that's that.

Now I am going to make me some yummy pumpkin pies! And I hope you  are in full speed ahead and go do what makes YOU happy.

Lastly I will send this card (and a few small goodies) to one of you ( a follower of this blog) who comment in this post. Please enter before Oct. 10, midnight Eastern time. Thank you!

Happy Thanksgiving, Virginia, to you and your beautiful family!

This hobby is so therapeutic to most of us, isn't it? And, I love visiting your blog to see the clever, whimsical and happy cards you make. But, I must say, you do not look at all like you have "let yourself go"!!!!!

Thanks for all your inspiration and upbeat personality, Virginia!

Hi Virginia! Happy Thanksgiving! I love your colorful happy card! I totally understand what you are saying about what you are thankful for.

I also would rather spend my money on crafty items to develop my stamping addiction. I have to admit that at times I question myself and start to feel really "guilty" about spending that kind of money on making cards. I have to remind myself, (as all my cards are donated or made for specific people), that I am hopefully putting a smile on someone's face or helping someone send a card home to a family member or a loved one. So surely, that must be worth it. And so what if that means that I am not "in vogue" and always wear shorts and T-shirts or jeans and never wear high heels!

A card just for fun, isn't that a novelty! I forget that sometimes, to just make a happy hello card just for me. Thanks for the reminder Virginia and I ADORE your sweet birdie card.

Happy Thanksgiving to you!
