CHERISH

I hope you are having a good time blog-surfing so far. Today I am sharing a card that I made for Papercrafts submission a few months ago and it didn't make the cut (sniff , sniff). I really really like it. Oh well. Life goes on :)

I have to say that this Dancing with Flowers is one of my favorite Hero Arts stamps in 2011.

As you can see, the texture on the image has some brush mark. That was because I used Glossy Accent and then I brushed it over with a paint brush. It sort of looks like a painting that way.

The lovely sentiment is from SRM Stickers. This was one of my first few cards of submissions. Thankfully, I did not give up on submitting. With the same stamp, this card will be in the issue of Papercrafts Jan/Feb 2012 issue!

So ...when you think about giving up on something you love....
don't. do. it!

Good advice, Virginia! Hard not to become discouraged, but that's the way to succeed. I love this card, and this stamp :) Very cool idea with the brush strokes.

Very pretty card Virginia. It's true you just have to keep submitting and usually the one you think doesn't have a chance will be the one they pick!! I submitted a card to a publication I thought - that will never make it in a magazine. Then the editor e-mailed me and asked me to do an article with multiple cards based on the style of that card! You just never know! BTW I fixed the link on my blog to go to the Gelatins Blog instead of the store. Thanks for you nice comments today and everyday, I really appreciate them :)

So, I really like this card. I love the line of flowers across the bottom. I am always looking for CAS ways to add flowers to my cards. Beautiful!

Great tip about brushing the Glossy! Looks awesome! You should have kept your card for an ulterior submission, you never know when something will make the cut! :)

I LOVE the card that got accepted... but I like this one a lot, too. And sometimes it's hard to know why one card gets picked over another!
