Save The Date

City Crafter Challenge  is having a Save the Date challenge.
I thought this is a perfect challenge to play for the new year. So here I am....made a card for "Save the Date"
save the date
April 16 is my daughter Stephanie's birthday! So I made this card with her special date in mind! And...her initial is S, the background's capital S seems perfect for this, too!

Cardstock: Bazzill Basics Paper; Pattern Paper: Manhattan from Social Club (Cosmo Cricket); Stamps: Type (Exclamation, Heart; Hero Arts), Friendship Definition (cling stamp from Hero Arts), Sew Artsy (Stitch line, Hero Arts); Dye Ink: Colorbox Pigment Ink (Citrus); Distress Ink: Spiced Marmalade, Vintage Photo by Ranger ; Tools: Martha Stewart Craft 1" Scalloped Circle Craft Punch, Tim Holtz Distress Ink Applicator; Accents: SRM Press (Express Yourself, Everyday Life; Mini calendar, 2012 Decorative), Gems (Hero Arts)
1 Make card from card stock
2 Stamp Friendship Definition on upper pattern paper and stamp heart and exclamation on punched out circles
3 Apply sticker (mini calendar, save the date), stamp heart over date sticker and adhere to card stock
4 Stamp stitch line and distress the edges
5 Add gems near the date

Now if you like the 2012 calendar stickers, please leave a comment in this post. For those who already left a comment in SRM Blog, your name is already in the drawing! Thank you so much for the support!   I will pick a winner and send a sheet of SRM 2012 stickers to you! Please enter by Jan. 7 midnight Eastern Time! It's my small way of saying thank-you!

I just made a project with these calendar stickers too, but the lighting turned out really stinky when photographing so now I have to wait... I'll just marvel at your card instead.
