CAS-ual Fridays Challenge # 38

It's CAS-ual Fridays time! We had amazing entries from last week's challenge--125 of them! This week is going to be another SUPAH fun challenge! We are in the mood for MOVIES since it's Oscar time soon! Got any favorites? New or old ones?
The theme: On the Red Carpet- The nominations are in for the 84th Academy Awards to be held later this month. We would love to see what movie inspires you....
The challenge: Create a CAS project inspired by a movie-ANY movie.
Sponsor: Simon Says Stamps
 Simon Says Stamp
The prize: SSS gift card AND a guest design spot as the temp for Cas-ual Fridays (awesome, huh?)

I LOVE romantic comedies! So when I found out about the latest romantic comedy Midnight in Paris by Woody Allen, I am all the more intrigued to see it. It's one of the nominated movies for best picture in this year's Academy Award!  (Check out the trailer here ) No, I haven't seen it yet, but it's on my MUST-do list! I took the inspiration from the movie poster....
here is my version
Amour
I simply masked all borders and layered the stamping and make it look like a post card. I was eager to use my newly ordered Newsprint Eiffel Tower. But it's too bad that the stamp didn't come yet. So I resorted to an old favorite Paris and a new set You're the Best. I think it worked! I mean, Paris is Paris no matter how you envision it or what stamp set you use....it's romantic! I am sharing two photos of me and Dr. John in Paris back in 2008.
This one was taken at the top of Arch de Triomphe. You can see Eiffel Tower in the background
We'd love to go back again!
I can't wait to see what you create! Please link up your CAS/project to CAS-ual Fridays by Feb. 8, Wednesday Midnight Eastern Time. I will be....
coming to a movie theater blog near you!

Wow, this might be a new fav. of mine of works you have created ( although i think i could say that about every new piece you post hehehe! ) I love the colors and the use of the various hearts and the paperclip heart! How creative! Did you mask around the edges to give it that square look or use a template? Thanks again for never ceasing to amaze me and teach me!
