Happy 1st Birthday, Lily Pad! (Cards with Confetti!)

Welcome to the Lily Pad Cards First Birthday blog hop! You should be joining us from Dana's blog (Reliving Tomorrow). There are three prize packages with a total retail value of over $300! These prizes will be awarded by random draw.  There are two ways to be eligible for the prize drawings. You can “like” us on  Facebook (Lily Pad), but if you do not have a Facebook account, you can also be eligible for the drawings by leaving a comment on the Lily Pad Blog . To better your chances even more, leave comments on the other blogs participating in the hop. For each comment you leave, you'll get your name entered again! (but only one comment per blog, please.)

I made two cards to celebrate this special occasion! My inspiration came from the ribbon packaging. Often I find myself saving the packaging because there are lots of ways to re-use them! The Don't Throw It Away Challenge over Moxie Fab World prompted me to try this out.

Here you see the packages of ribbons. I filled the plastic bags with small colorful confetti. I then cut two slits of opening with Exacto knife on the diecut. The image is from Hero Arts-Sizzix combo set called "Big Ticket". The bags  were sealed and then adhere to the card stock with double-sided tape. I concealed the opening on top with the SRM Stickers. It provided the perfect sentiment and is perfect as a tape.
I made a girly one (A birthday card)
make a wish
The 2nd one is a masculine congrats/you did it/encouragement card.
 you did it
I am happy to see how these little confetti stay contained and yet they gives the card some extra pizazz!
cards with confettie
I {heart} recycling!
The next stop on the hop is Katie's blog (Katie's Quarks). If you hit a bad link, you can always go back to Lily Pad  to view the master list of blog links. Please report any bad links to here. You can take your time to leave a comment in all the blogs by Sunday, April 7th, Midnight Eastern Time for a chance to win some awesome prizes!
 Have fun hopping!

Great idea for the confetti bags! I use the bags from packaging for organizing pre-cut embellies or masks I've used but this is an idea I'll have to steal! I love the use of the same idea and stamps with completely different results. The black and white against the rainbow colors are my favorite but how can you really choose between good and good? :)
