The Spatter Challenge

There is always some sort of obsession when it comes to paper-crafting, whether it's about trendy colors, stamping techniques, trying new inks (such as alcohol inks), I want to try them all. My latest? Spatter! After I made this butterfly card, I found out how much FUN just to splash some random colors for background.

And even better, Moxie Fab World's Spatter Challenge makes me want to play with paint and colors. Here is a little card that I came up with. It's a minimalist's approach, I guess?!
sending love your way
First , I created the background with the paint-spattering background. I basically flicked the paint brush (with a few drops of paint and water) and splashed it in one direction. I utilized the paper tapes from Target for the red/dotted strips and then added the punched out hearts.

This was what's happening in my backyard on Mother's Day....6 cellists (5 girls and David), one photographer-Stephanie were having a photo shoot.
and here is a picture behind the scene
I will be sharing more cool photos from this photo shoot since Stephanie did such an awesome job!
Hope you are off to a great start for the week.

Note: for my butterfly card giveaway , the random winner is:
I love that you have so much patience! That butterfly looks incredible - so much detail!!
Please e-mail me your address, Chrystina, so I can send you the card and some small crafty goodies!

I read your post today and decided to play in the splatter challenge. It is scary when the stampers are so talented, but maybe I will get lucky! :) Love your card -- great splatter! :)

Love the way you treated the Spatter Technique challenge, Virginia. So CAS is hard to pull off with this technique, but you did it with your usual panache. Congrats on being the Moxie Fabber this week! Your blog is one of my favorites!
