The Postage Challenge

First of all, thank you SO much for the outpouring of support after reading my previous post. Each one of the heartfelt comment really touched my heart. Some of them brought tears to my eyes! Yes, I was in such a hot mess! I simply tried too hard to run and fell flat on my face! It's a time like this that I find sharing cards and thoughts in my blog is such a rewarding experience. For that, I am very very grateful to you all who took the time to comment and e-mail me privately.

My European trip is not starting till mid August (still far away!!). So in the mean time,...I have some fun photos to share with you. They were taken in Universal Studio, Florida in Feb. They remind me that life. is. beautiful.
We are all kids at heart....And here is the big one!
My daughter was in Banff , Alberta for  a week-long all expense-paid conference. Perks of a grad student!
Her 3-minute deer-sighting/encounter....she called that a "Patronus or just a Snow White moment"
And now finally I'm sharing a card made for Moxie Fab World's Postage Challenge.
I have this Hero Arts Newspaper Eiffel Tower and Lawn Fawn's You've Got Mail.I decided to put the two sets together. This is a result....
you're the BEST!
There is really not a ton of special features in this card. The only wow factor ( if any) is the use of Washi Tape. I love the pattern on the Target Washi Tape, so I just stamped the envelope and airmail on the tape, cut and adhere! While I was feeling a bit creative, I added the Stickles to the bell postage. I will be back on Monday at 8 AM Eastern time with super fun guest design project!

Fun photos and great card! I don't have any washi tape, but I just learned how to make some faux washi on Splitcoaststampers. It may be a while before I make some, but I definitely plan to do so.

Fantastic card, Virginia :) Beautiful photographs too. I now want to go to Banff (Alberta) - I think there is a Banff in Scotland too, but never been there either. HOe exciting that you are off to Europe in the summer :)

Your card design is great once again! Love every detail! I have a few washi tapes but don't use them as often as I should.

I appreciate your stopping by my blog and leaving such kind comments. Thank you! And the card you made for the Postage Challenge is endearing. Each time I look at it I find another delight. This time it is the bling in the center of your twine bow. Totally unexpected, totally charming. The washi tape envelopes and the bloe and red postal strip near the bottom also caught my eye. I've been looking at the Lawn Fawn set for some time now and I'm getting closer to needing it, thanks to your card. Also, thanks for sharing your photos. Your family, and you, seem so much fun!
