Sending You Love (and a little unfortunate event...)

I know it's not Valentine's Day, but I just had to share a card that I made with Valentine's Stamp set called Friend-You're the Best
This month's Hero Arts Challenge is "A Stamp for All Seasons". I use the hearts from this set since I think they are stamps for all seasons.
sending you love
I am sure you'd agree that heart stamps are great for any time of the year.

And now here is a little unfortunate event that happened in the last two days. I was super excited to plan on going to ScrapFest in Minneapolis this Thursday. This trip has been in the planning for a few months now. Dr. John and I are taking this trip without the kids for the first time since we had kids! That's ancient time ago! Wouldn't it be a romantic getaway? Flights were booked, two classes (Tim Holtz and Lawn Fawn Make and Take) registered.....I bought a badge, too! I did all that on the day of registration EARLY at 8am just to sign up for the classes! All set!

Then just on Monday, Dr. John woke up with a terrible dizzy spell that lasts over two days...(and still counting as I write). After our family doc's house call on Tuesday (SO thankful for our family doc), Dr. C. advised us to cancel (what!?) the trip as he doesn't see Dr. John improving so quickly by Thursday and the flight and travel will only aggravate his vertigo problem. I was upset and sad to have to cancel the trip, but....that's life, right? With family doc's note, I should be getting the flight's full refund. And now....I just have to scrapbook at the comfort of my home (oh the suffering!!). Well, that is my little unfortunate event. I now hope Dr. John's health condition will improve and that he will be back to normal soon. Are you still with me??? Thanks for reading this and hearing me out. I know this is NOTHING compared with a lot of hardship that some people had to go through in their day to day lives. OK....what's the point of sharing this? I just want you to cherish health and your love ones. I am sending you love!
and now....SEIZE THE DAY!

Love this card. Ahhh, I think you need to give this to your hubby. Poor guy. And so sad you had to cancel your trip. At least he got sick before you left and had the comfort of your own family physician. Nothing worse than having to deal with medical problems when you are away from home.
Life does go on and I am sure you have a fantastic crafting area in your home.(minus Tim Holtz and Lawn Fawn) hehehe.

Love your art and always look forward to what you are creating. Have a great day.

Wow - here I was envying you and now I have some serious pity. Vertigo is so unsettling, but as you say, it is not fatal. Just frustrating! Know the good doc will soon be back entertaining you with his silly quips. Glad this didn't happen on your big trip. Love this card - Lin and I are big heart fans. Great dimension and colors. I am sending YOU and Dr. J lots of love!!

So very true on both points-hearts & love are for year round and cherish our loved ones! I'm sorry you has to cancel your very well planned trip :( It's nice you'll get a refund on your flight though.

MDH has dizzy spells too. He has Meniere's. We found that low sodium and a diuretic help with the vertigo. I hope he gets better!

And in sure you're next trip will be wonderful! A good partner you are!
