Life Is Beautiful--really?

My daughter Stephanie and I had a discussion a while ago. She said that my blog depicts a Virginia that is living "the idyllic life"--making cards, traveling all over the world and making yummy food for her beloved family.  In a way, I am living an ideal life! But really? Is my life all that beautiful? Truthfully, I had a few small personal challenges in the last few months...
and I am alright with them :)
I have to remind myself that ......Life is not always beautiful! In order to keep my blog "real" and "authentic", I just want to share that thought with you :)
With that, I am sharing a card.
hello beautiful
The Fresh Blooms stamps are from Neat and Tangled. I paper-pierce the flower (with Basic Grey Konnichiwa Collection).
Lastly, here is a video from James Blunt.
I love how this "real"  (or shall we say "blunt"? ) this song is.
And remember:  You're beautiful !

YOU are beautiful Virginia.... in spirit as well as life. You are inspiring, encouraging and generally an all out wonderful person and I am privileged to "know" a little about you through this wonderful medium and this great hobby.

This card is beautiful Virginia! I love the pretty pearl dots and faux stitch border! Gorgeous DP on the flower too! Thanks to your reply from my comment yesterday, I'm going to be out looking for those cool pearl dots today!

We all have love, loss, illness, and heartache. No one has a perfect life. We should celebrate the good as much as possible and try not to focus too much on the bad IMO. I like that my blog is a place where I don't have to "deal" with my problems and I can just focus on something positive that I really enjoy. So maybe my blog is used sometimes as an escape but I'm okay with that :)

Love that song too Virginia!

It's hard to share all of those less-lovely details of life - but I'm glad that for the most part you enjoy life :) And I enjoy reading about it!

Life is beautiful! And you are too! You know what...there's something about blogging that is therapeutic...and sometimes I share the pains, sometimes I don't. It's my relaxation! And I love your gorgeous inspiration to us. Thanks for sharing with us Virginia! You are beautiful! And this song is one of my favorites. Happy Sunday to you and your family.

Virginia, I read your blog every day. Why? Because you share life, beauty and talent with me as well as everyone else who reads your blog. Isn't it really great when an "adult" child engages you the mom in a deep conversation? I've had this experience with my daughter many times, my son too, and I come away thinking ... wow they are really good people. Thanks for all your cards, pictures and thoughts.

Reading your blog is one of the things that makes my life good, Virginia. Your lovely cards, beautiful pictures, funny stories and snipets of your life make me smile. I very much enjoy and appreciate all that you share. We all have our issues and challenges, but we get through them in part by knowing the good will help get us to the other side of whatever we have to work through. I know your life is more than what you share with us. I am grateful to know you in the small way that I do.

I've ALWAYS loved that James Blunt song, Virginia. I remember exactly when it was popular and that Molly and I shared a LOT of together time. :) I really LIKE you sweet card, too! The simplicity of the design really makes it stand out. It's very eye-catching (and PRETTY, too). XO
