Embellish Color Trends Challenge

It's that time of year....we YEARN for pretty colors! Fall colors are gone.  The green grass is no longer growing. The leaves in my treed backyard are completely fallen as they are ready for the arrival of Winter (I am not ready!!). Perhaps that is why I want to make a card based on the colors from Embellish. The challenge is also to incorporate ribbons in the project.

Here is my take....
thanks a bunch
I made good use of this flower from Hero Arts-Sizzix set called Antique Flowers and Butterflies.
With some masking, diecut and embossing, this card was fun to make. The two flowers in the middle were embossed in white over pink and purple card stock. Add some seam-binding ribbons from Martha Stewart and sentiment from SRM Stickers, this card is complete!

Thanks a bunch for stopping by!

Oh, do I ever LOVE this card, V! Those colors are so gorgeous together! Wonderful design too!

I'm with you on not being ready for winter! I think I may just have to make a flowery card soon - thanks for the inspiration! :)

You nailed this challenge, Virginia! Perfect colors and such a beautiful design. As for winter, I can wait for that, although we've already had three snow storms. Fortunately, the last storm only left 5" and it disappeared in a day or two.

You've used the colors of the challenge so nicely on this pretty card, Virginia! I think we'll all need some flowery cards here and there to cheer us up in the cold wintery months to come. BRRR!

Your design is beautiful, Virginia. You rocked the colors. Here in Georgia, we still have lots of fall colors - the countryside is gorgeous. Some trees are barren, but most aren't.

The leaves are almost gone here too. I love Fall, wish we had it for an actual full season. It's starting to snow/rain a little. So glad I'm blurfing with hot coffee and PJ's. Perfect day :)
