Scenes from a Craft Show

Hello! I am popping in to share some craft show photos. Back in November, I had the chance to visit "One of a Kind Craft Show" in Toronto. I had a blast with my girlfriends. Too bad that we didn't spend enough time to see every booth. There were hundreds of them! Here is the sample of the visit.
Let's start with a cute room display...

These prints remind me of the collage designs. Aren't they beautiful?
Do these images prompt you to make a collage card?

These are recycled bottled and they were sterilized and then flattened. They are ideal as cheese trays! I bought one for our niece!
 Love this idea for upcycling!
 The quilt shops looks fabulous!

I try to make a CAS card in less than 10 minutes. I had to plan ahead to cut down the time. I decided to emboss (which took 1/3 of the time), but the rest is easy. With the Basic Grey Paper (Aspen Frost), this card came together rather quickly!

Holiday Project--Neon Tubes!

I had a request from my daughter to make some holiday gifts for her girl friends. She liked my SRM tube idea and so I went right to work. With the Keen on Neon challenge going on over Moxie Fab World, I decided to make them NEON.

Previously I used the same stamp set let it snow (Lawn Fawn)  and made this card.
tis' the season
As for the colors on the tubes, I used Alcohol Inks. I added the shimmer with Liquid pearl and Stickles. Inside the tubes, they are filled with fragrant bath salt--perfect for young ladies!
 2012-12-11
I was quite happy to use the neglected neon green ribbons (by May Arts) for this project because it really "ties" in the colors so well.I can't wait to see how Stephanie friends like these tubes.

I am very happy to share that I shall have two projects published in CARDS (May 2013)! It's my first pub with CARDS! (Yay, go me!) With Canada Express Post, I hope my cards get to the destination safely (only 1 week notice!). However, if you don't see my cards in print then, you know they are likely LOST in the Christmas mail (LOL)! On top of that, I was very pleasantly surprised to have a little shout out for my bird card over Moxie Fab World! Gotta love card-making!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

CAS-ual Fridays Challenge #82

Hello! It's CAS-ual Fridays Challenge time! This week's theme is to create a CAS project with anything "scored". You can score lines images onto your project. As long as there is a scored line or two...or more, then it qualifies!

I had acquired my Martha Stewart score board for a while, and I am happy to say that I used it every time when I make cards. This is my take for this challenge...
Live laugh love-001
When I was making this card, the odd pieces of stamped text squares and punched out butterfly happened to appear on my craft desk...Have you made a card from the pieces that were lying on your craft desk? Well, this is one for me! I incorporated the flower stamping (from the CAS-ual Fridays Stamp's Truth Is) and came up with this card. SCORE!!!!! With the scored lines, the card seem to have a touch of sophisticated feel? Have you SCORED anything on paper lately?  If you don't have a score board, you can still try scoring the lines on a softer surface with a ruler.

Please upload your CAS project to CAS-ual Fridays by noon, Thursday Dec. 20 Eastern Time. I can't wait to see your scored project!
While you are here, you can also check out CAS-ual Friday's Stamp set "8 Happy Nights".

8 Happy Nights!

Hello friends! It's a special preview week over CAS-ual Fridays Stamps!
We are seeing all samples of this fabulous Hanukkah set "8 Happy nights"
Happy Hanukkah(Virginia#1)
This card is super easy to make. I simply embossed the Dreidle image in white over Navy blue card stock. The strip of glitter was made with a thin strip of double sided tape. Easy and no mess!
I would love it if you leave me a comment at CAS-ual Fridays Stamps!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Market Street Stamps Guest Design ( Part 2)

Market Street Stamps
Hello!! I am sharing my guest design work with Market Street Stamps (part 2).
I received this stamp set called Great Big Greetings. It is a great set for making hello cards/projects! With this set, I made 3 projects and here is one of them.

A neon-colored card sure speaks volumes, don't you think?
YOU ROCK.NEF
I have two Neon inks (orange and pink) and the green was from a strip of paper. The buttons were made with two clear buttons (the backing was made from stamped neon inks). That way, it would make a perfect match with the inking of the card. I am entering this card for Moxie Fab World's Keen on Neon Challenge

Please check out my 3 other guest design projects over Market Street Stamps
They are totally different from this one.  I would love it if you leave me some love there (pretty please!). Thanks for stopping by!

Lawnscaping Challenge #47

I am loving the colors from the latest Lawnscaping challenge (details here). Good chance for me to use the stamp set called Let It Snow.
Merry Christmas
I just got this new Spellbinders for my birthday present and this is my first time using it. It's always fun to play with new "toys", huh? Thanks for stopping by!

12 Tags of Christmas with a feminine twist

I have been enjoying the Classroom over Ellen Hutson 12 Tags of Christmas with a feminine twist. If you haven't checked it out, you must stop by. Each featured tag is packed with amazing techniques and delightful details. Check this masterpiece by the one and only Jennifer McGuire.

Today I am sharing my tag that was inspired by Claudia Hellmuth's tag! Claudia has this fun and beautiful style all of her own and I adore the lovely details that she used for her gorgeous tag.
Here is my Christmas tag with a feminine twist!
'tis the season
First, I embossed the background with CAS-ual Friday's Snowflakes Stamp set and then brushed mixture of water and Liquid Perfect Pearl. After that, I cut up a strip of dictionary paper and applied Feathered Peacock. The white strip of paper is mulberry paper with Stickles on it. I paper-pieced the doll image with Basic Grey's Konnichiwa.

While I was at at, I also made a non-Christmas card with a feminine twist.
hello beautiful
I had lots of fun layering this one. A bit of embossing and Washi Tape...
two tags
What do you think? Making these tags is very much like creating an intricate ATC. You have till Dec. 16 to enter! There is still time to create! Thanks so much for stopping by!

The Play Date Cafe Challenge #161

I really love the latest color combo from PDCC #161, I couldn't help making a card with two of my favorite Hero Arts Stamp. And remember the "Stamp-kissing" technique? If you are not familiar with this technique, here and here are great tutorials.
Merry Christmas to you
I love how the blue brings out the wintery look of this fabulous stamp called Merriest Christmas Wishes. I made it "kiss" the Music Background. See how MERRY it looks?  The tree trunks were colored with a mixture of water and Distress Ink (Antique Linen) with the help of a paint brush. I finally put my new ribbons from Michael's to good use.

A BIG thank-you for the warmest birthday wishes yesterday over Facebook, Hero Arts Flickr Group and my blog here. I am deeply touched!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
