Make Your Own Embellishments

Call me El-cheapo....

 but I do like to save some crafty money when I can. Making my own embellishments is one of my favorite things to do! A few times when I do buy the ready-made embellishments, I usually set them aside and use the pieces as my inspiration. Have you tried that? It saves you money in the long run and gives your brain a good work out as well! It's a win win : )

One big plus is that you can coordinate the colors to suit your design. This layout of baby Apphia  serves a great example explaining my point!
{Bundle of Joy}
See those rose-colored flowers? Well, I made them! It's so fun and so....organic! The reason that I made those flowers is that I need colors to match Baby Apphia's baby blanket.
By the way, isn't she adorable?
 2013-01-12
Paper: Scalloped border paper (from Archiver's)
Stamps: Sew ArtsyLattice Background ,Love Jar (Hero Arts)
Others: SRM Stickers (title and sentiment), Spellbinders (Label 8), Swiss Dots
Accessories: DIY paper flowers, Bo Bunny buttons, pearls

Want to know how I made the paper flowers? If you like to know how, I will do a tutorial !! Just tell me in your comment. If I get 30 yeses, then it's a go :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Well I think you already have more than 30 votes, but I will cast mine anyway ... YES! Those are so delicious, even just one of them on their own! Hey, take a gray card, stamp your Moroccan background, put the flower on the side, and a sentiment ... you're done, that's all you need!! Beautiful layout, so fitting for the little one!
