The Play Date Cafe Challenge #168

As you may know, people living in the North Eastern part of US and Canada had a HUGE blizzard last Friday! Boy, I am thankful for my hobby....is all I can say.

This week's Play Date Cafe Challenge's color combo is in this rich and beautiful palette---
Cranberry . . . Raspberry . . . Petal

I managed to make a card based on these colors.
always and forever
The stamps I used here are not the latest, but they sure are the kind of stamps you will use time after time.

Stamps:  Starburst Lace, Friend-You're the Best (little heart)
Sentiment: SRM Stickers
Paper: Hero Hue Layering paper (Grenadine)
Others: Folder Banner (simon Says Stamps
Ding---> How do you choose a LARGE stamp (like the one shown in this card--Starburst Lace)? For me, I look at the details and overall design of the stamp. Can you stamp part of the image and it will still look great? Can you use it for background? Can you easily cut it out it and use it for projects? Is it a stamp that you can use all year round? If you get lots of yeses, then it's a stamp that you NEED

Next time you find yourself staring at the stamp aisle a tad too long and wondering if you NEED that stamp that you are eyeing, you know you are making a very thoughtful and conscientious decision.
Asked about the frequent posting of Ryan in my blog....
Dr. John: "Ryan who !?"

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Thanks for the New Year's wishes, Virginia. Happy Chinese New Year to you and your family too!

I love the crisp lines from the background and how it's accented with the 3D sentiment banner. Lovely card!

P.S. nice embellishment of Ryan Gosling to your posts ;)

That card is stunning! I love that stamp & how you did the banner.

I'm not sure how I pick a large stamp-if I like it & can think of a few ways to use it right away then it goes on my wish list!
