Ombre Effect

 I have been loving the Ombre Effect on cards. So I had to join the fun over Moxie Fab World's Ombre Challenge.
{Wishing You Well}
Supplies:
Card stock: Earth Layering Paper (Hero Arts)
Stamps: Spring Dreams by Hero Arts
Inks: Versamark by Tsukineko, Tim Holtz Distress Inks (Squeezed Lemon, Mustard Seeds, Scattered Straw, Spiced Marmalade, Tea Dye, Rusty Hinge, Vintage Photo) by Ranger
Embossing powder: Stampendous (white, detailed)
Fibers: May Arts Ribbons
Accessories: SRM Press (sentiment), gems (Recollections)
Tools: Distress Ink Applicator by Rangers

    Ding----> No matter what your stamping level is, Emboss Resist is such a great technique that stampers absolutely love! Have you tried it lately? Here is one of my favorite video from the talented Jennifer McGuire. It's a must-see, if you haven't already.  For my card, I first embossed the image in white, then with the help of ink applicators, I add the colors from lightest (Squeezed Lemon) to darkest (Vintage Photo)

Thanks so much for stopping by!

I love that video, too. Thanks for the reminder. And ombre.......isn't that a fun word to say? Kind of rolls of your tongue, right? A cool use of this technique - thanks for light bulb, Virginia. Mine has been pretty dim lately! Hugs.
