Vintage Image

I don't use vintage image much, but this set from Lil Inker Designs is just too sweet! I was lucky to win some goodies from the Gallery Idol "made with Love" Blog Hop. I chose to have this set called
Stirring in Lots of Love from Lil Inker.

Since I am a lazy color-er, I chose NOT to color the image and left the image as it is! As I used some Washi Tape, I am joining the fun over Moxie Fab World (Washi Challenge).
happy birthay to you
With a bit of Washi tape and pattern paper (Basic Grey's Lucille collection), this card is very quick and easy! The button on the top left was an after-thought. I wrapped a white button with the matching Washi tape! That was my light-bulb moment (LOL).
Ding--->you can make your own custom buttons with Washi tape! Not only you can make your card design look cohesive and you will not need to use glue at all! Want to use up some extra buttons that you don't know what to do with? Now you can!

Thanks for stopping by!

How sweet...love that vintage image, I can see why you choose it. Hmmm...after seeing your crafty genius with washi tape I may just have to break down and finally buy some - I may be the only crafter left who doesn't own any (gasp)!

I can't believe I didn't think of putting washi on buttons! A great way to customize those boring single colored buttons :P

I love how the washi tape looks like a tablecloth. So clever and even more clever to cover the button in washi tape. Love the result!

I actually think it's great that you didn't colour this image Virginia - it works *perfectly* with this style of card, as well as the style of image itself! And I am totally loving that optical illusion washi goodness - that is amazing!!!

I like the image uncolored, Virginia - it looks great. The Washi tape pop of color is a perfect accent along with the red paper. The Washi button is genius :)

Have never seen washi buttons before, how cool! LOVE how you used the striped washi over half of your image ... you totally get the idea of having lots of ingredients, bowls, kitchen stuff, without all of the details. Great design!
