Sequins, sequins everywhere...

Have you heard? The new blings on the block are-----> sequins!
Paper Crafts just declared that sequins are the new rhinestones I love gems, pearls and I love how much shine that the blings can add to the cards and layouts.
Sequins have definitely arrived fast and furiously!  Here is a card that I used most sequins!

A few days ago, I had a little bit of creative slump and needed a quick pick-me-up, instead of coffee or alcohol (LOL), I chose this color combo somewhere in blog land and proceeded to make a card.

It all started out with the American Crafts paper pad that my Runway Inspired team mate/blog friend Tasnim (thanks so much, Tasnim!!) sent me. I used this colorful strip of paper from the paper pad and turned it into a roof-like design. The rest of the design soon followed.
I MISS YOU (Virginia Lu)
Supplies: all stamps are from Market Street Stamps,  SRM Stickers(stitching sticker), American Crafts pattern paper, Making Memories paper-piercer, sequins

Note: I got my pack of sequins from Michael's. I wish we have more choices of sequins, but Michael's is the place that I can get to in less than 10 min. $4 a pack will get you gazillions of them! I need to hunt down some softer colors/hues of exotic sequins....
When it comes down to add the finishing touches. I now can't help adding sequins!
Thankfully Ryan totally gets it!

Love all your colors, Virginia! The purple-on-purple butterfly, yellow and pink are so FUN! And I was just at M's too this weekend looking for sequins! I have some that are probably 25 years old, and wanted to get some new colors. I saw those $4 packs ... my husband found some in the kids section that were many times bigger and only $2.50. They came in different sizes too. Check it out next time!
