My favorite card in 2013....so far.

Today I am sharing a favorite card of mine. Since I make so many cards, it is hard to pick an absolute favorite. BUT this card is "different"....
 The World

Paper: Neenah (white), Hero Arts Layering paper (Earth)
Stamps: Map of America, Be Silly (sentiment) by Hero Arts
Inks: Neon (orange), Tim Holtz Distress Inks (Broken China, Faded Jeans, Feathered Peacock, Chipped Sapphire, Peel Paint, Pine Needles) by Ranger, Hero Arts Mid Tone (Tuxedo Black)
Specialty Ink: Versamark (Tsukineko)
Embossing Powder: Stampendous Embossing Powder (clear)
Accessories: 3 D Pop Dots by EK Success, sequins (Michael’s)
Tools: Glossy Accent by Ranger, Distress Ink Applicator by Ranger

Previously, I had submitted this card for publication call (for Emboss Resist) and it didn't get picked. Well, I decided to submit it to Stamping Royalty. Unfortunately it didn't get picked, either. And because I sent it away for the contest, I now no longer have it any more. I actually miss it. Maybe it's because I mourn for the epic fail that this card went through? However, this card means a lot to me as I did create it from my heart. If you can give it some love, that will make me happy.

I am excited to share my Mad Men-inspired projects on Sunday!
Thanks for stopping by!

I'm right there with you ... packaging those cards up not knowing what is going to happen to them is a little unnerving. I reeeeaaallly love this one, Virginia!! The shading is absolutely amazing! I almost thought it was a second stamp under there somehow. And, you are indeed a "beautiful thing" yourself!! : )

This is beautiful and has such an artistic flair with the variegated colors in the background. WHile it may not had been chosen for publication I think it says something even more important that with all the cards you make it's one that stands out to you and for you. That alone makes it special.
