The Gift Challenge

Have you ever had an impulsive purchase? Well, I couldn't pass up the deal one time over Michael's. You see, it was a black frame in the clearance bin for $0.50! I didn't know what I will do with it at the time, but I decided.... "JUST GET IT"!

And guess what!? The Gift Challenge over Moxie Fab World prompted me to do something about this $ 0.50 frame! So I went right to stamp! I didn't use any pattern paper or any fancy embellishments (only sequins). Becuase it is a photo frame, I had to keep it rather flat.
Find JOY in the LITTLE things
I stamped a collage of subtle background and used the butterfly diecut to make the colorful butterfly (embossed in clear and distressed with various inks). The sentiment from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Breathe is perfect with the black frame.

And wouldn't you know.... Ryan knows best!
Thanks for stopping by!

This is fabulous, Virginia! Your background has wonderful colors and images - I love the music notes and splash of yellow. And your butterflies just pop - the combination of embossing and distressed inks is so beautiful. The sequins are perfect. Thanks for sharing :)

Just beautiful and embossing the butterflies adds a nice dimensional quality even though it's a 'flat piece' overall. I'd say your intuition about being able to use that baragin frame paid off beautifully. :)
