The Virtue of Border/Background Stamps!

I thought it would be fun to share a project about Border/Background Stamps. I think the term "border/background stamps" make you think of these stamps as the "second fiddler" "the sidekick"... or shall we say the Robin in Batman!?

Well, today we are going to play a little bit more attention to these versatile stamps. In fact, they are the main focus for my card today.
I couldn't be happier for you
I applied a few latest trends into this card---> slanted design, water-coloring, gold-embossing and sequins. First, I embossed the hounds-tooth stamp in black. And then with a water-brush and distress inks, I colored the background with different shades and colors. After it dried, I did the gold embossing for the sentiment. With a bit of pattern paper layering, this card is complete!

I hope this inspired you to try using your border/stamp in a creative way! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Such a great card Virginia! Love how you used the border stamp! Thanks so much for calling and checking on me today. I got your message when I got home. I've been totally swamped at work and have been busy with family stuff too. My Mom had to have unexpected surgery last weekend. I haven't had much time to blog hop or be on Flickr lately, but I'm hoping to get back to it soon. I hope you had a wonderful time in California. Sounds like a fun trip! :) Miss you! xoxo
