Guest Design at Scrap RDV

Happy Sunday, my friends!
bannière cardathon2013 It gives me great pleasure to share my guest design team work with you over Scrap Rendez Vous. My dear friend Alexandra invited me to do a sketch guest design, and of course, I jumped at the chance to play!
Here is the sketch that I made.
Here are my two cards with the same stamps.Card #1

 Card #1 (Unconventional Christmas color)
1. Use festive and colorful all –occasion pattern paper (by American Crafts) to jazz up the design.
2. Too many sequins can be a tad too bright and can overwhelm a simple design! Why not add a little bit of vellum to keep the card elegant and tasteful?
3. Try stamping the sentiment in two different colors (slightly overlap each other)! You will love the result!
#2
Card #2 (Traditional Christmas color)

1. By using Christmas-themed pattern paper (by Basic Grey), you can easily keep the design simple yet sophisticated.
2. You can add your personal touches by decorating the skyline with Liquid Pearl droplets. This will make the handmade card extra special.
3. Experiment with your die cut and embossing folders and make it work with your design.

Please visit Scrap Rendez-Vous ( it's a bilingual site-French and English) and leave your feedback there if you like.

Edited: here is an announcement that might interest you...please come back tomorrow for my usual Monday's FSS post :)
Thank you for stopping by today!

Great sketch, Virginia! I love how you created 2 cards with unique colors and patterns...your chevron trees and vellum panel is so clever, and I love how you created your snowy background in your 2nd card!
Thank you for sharing your idea about double stamping your sentiments, too...I love the effect!
