Runway Inspired Challenge # 47

Hello Gorgeous!!
 http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-M5x696AYKpA/UngktQfwk_I/AAAAAAAAJ8k/sNk-1lOzkuY/s320/ric%2347.jpg
Welcome to the latest Runway Inspired Challenge! I am loving this week's inspiration photo and I felt that my card will not do the justice...but here I try! Many Thanks
Supplies: Breathe, Amber Waves (CAS-ual Fridays Stamps), Martha Stewart Butterfly punch, alcohol inks (on butterflies), Liquid Pearls

I kept the design super simple and let the inks and stamps speak for themselves. The butterflies are punched out from alcohol-inked paper.  So...here is my confessions! I actually made quite a few different versions of this runway photo and the card above is my 4th (gasp!!!!) one!

The following card was my original take on the inspiration. From the runway photo, you can almost tell that the dress material is shiny and glossy. I took that inspiration and used glossy paper, alcohol ink and vellum. Somehow I do not like the various textures on this card...I just didn't like how it looks! I thought I would still share it with you here.
 Just because
Hope you check out my DT mates inspiring work!

Love your take. The floaty waves remind me of ribbons used by Chinese dancers - gorgeous!

Awesome card, Virginia. The swooshes of brilliant color glide through the air while the fantastic butterflies hover above and loosely frame the sentiment. Your design and composition are CAS perfection.

There are a few ladies out there that I have unofficially "crowned." I refer to Laura B as the Queen of Plaid, Julie Ebersole is the Queen of Everything, Cristina K is the Queen of CAS, and JJ is the Queen of Die Cutting.

You, my friend, are hereby named the Queen of Alcohol Inks! yay!! Love the effect on the butterflies. Congratulations on your newly bestowed honor :)

I agree with Jen...you are the queen of alcohol inks and of hilarious Ryan quotes! I really, really love the movement in your final card...so beautiful!

Love v. 4. Definite improvement over the earlier one. An inspiration not to give up if a card doesn't really fall into place on the first try.

Wonderful designs, but I do like the one you went with more. The stripes on it just have so much movement and I love that little butterfly!
