Just Because...

I NEED to replenish with more paint chips!! While looking through my small stash of paint chips, I came up with this card.
just because
Supplies: paint chips, Washi Tape, old dictionary paper, heart paper clip (Dollar Store), strings, Remember (Hero Arts),  Simon Says Stamps (sentiment), Embossing Powder, Distress Inks

This is my first time using this embossing powder. It's from the Michael's brand (Recollections). I love this orange/red color! I added some faux stitching with a fine black pen. Love that effect!

Thanks for stopping by!

This color combo is amazing, Virginia. The flower is so vibrant, and I love the texture of the stamp itself. Your embellishments are so creative - they are so interesting and varied. Your design is clean and complex. I am always in awe of your artistry.

Hi Virginia, I like the black stitching and the black washi tape, they seem to ground the card if that makes sense!

I love your idea of paint chips. While I was admiring your card, I remembered that one of my earliest cards used a paint chip I borrowed (snagged) from a local paint store. I had completely forgotten about it. I didn't even have a blog back then, but had just opened a SCS gallery, and that is where I had posted it. I still have a bunch of other colors, and I am going to case some of your ideas to use more of them. Thanks for the inspiration.
