Pantone's Color of the Year

Did you know...Pantone's color of the year 2012 is Radiant Orchid?
You can see all the Pinterest from Pantone here.
Radiant Orchid is rather foreign to me. I was inspired to make a quick card this morning. Needless to say, it's high time to hit the hardware store for some serious paint chips!
thank you
I used this Chrysanthemum diecut as a mask and applied a few Distress Inks....easy peasy! The sentiment is from Neat and Tangle's Across the Card. However, I find the colors are on a little weak side.... I will definitely make some more cards based on this color! I must confess, I am not a purple person...I love Tangerine Tango and still do. Last year's Emerald Green took me some time to get used to it...and now this :)
Thanks for stopping by!

I don't think your colors look "weak" at all, Virginia! This card is REALLY beautiful! Your shading is so perfect! ♥

Love the soft masking look flowers! I love this Radian Orchid colour- little bit pink and little bit purple. In fact I am thinking of painting my craft work area this colour (whenever I get around to paint it)! Beautiful card, Virginia! Have a great Sunday! x

This may not be a colour you are used to working with Virginia, but you've made an awesome job on this card.

I think this card is lovely...and so is the mask. I like purple but this isn't really purple, more lilac...I'll have to get used to it too.
