Little Birdie in the Woods...

I am sharing a card I made last Saturday. It took me about 45 mins to make the wood/ wood-grain themed challenge. I spent at least 5 minutes cleaning the stained Wood Background...Finally I decided that only embossing can solve the problem. It will avoid the unwanted color stains. So that's how I started and came up with the design.
hugs
First, I did some masking (with the help of Washi Tape to cover up the birdie) and stamped a few branches and at the end, I colored the birdie with red Marvey Marker and stamped the the branches in green--all in one stamp. Add the SRM Sticker (sentiment), strings, and heart pearl--done!

We have been having tons of  snow lately. I am longing to hear the birdies chirping and seeing them flying about in my woods. This card kind of helps me to think about Spring.

Lastly, I am sharing a few fun behind the scene photos from our Panama Cruise. I take pride in sharing these not-so-perfect photos.

My son David helped me take photos of my pet cat Alexia
 Can you spot David?
A silly photo that David took in Aruba's rest stop/gift shop
 We love taking stalker photos...

Dr. John--almost stuck in Nicaragua (peaking through the gate as we left the cruise ship).
I hope these photos make you smile :)
Thanks for stopping by!

Hello my dear!

These "behind the scene" photos crack me up!
Thank You so much for sharing them with us!
You ALWAYS cheer me up even when I thought I didn't need to be! But let's not forget about your beautiful card! I've always had a soft spot for red birdies and woodgrain and your delightful card is the perfect reminder that someday the frigid cold will go away and the birds will chirp again...just not soon enough ;)

I agree with Alex - the warm, spring temps can't come soon enough!

I love your card, V! The woodgrain background may have taken you awhile to create but it was worth it! And the pop of red from your sweet bird is wonderful among all your beautifully stamped leaves!

Love all your fun photos too - so glad you shared them! ♥

How nice the embossing looks on woodgrain. I 'll have to try that. Hope you catch a break in the snowy weather,so the little birdies can be singing .
