Avery Elle Challenge #3

Challenge 3
Hello! I am sharing a card I made for the Avery Elle Challenge. It's all about Ombre Effect. Love that theme! So of course, I took out my one and only 4x6 Avery Elle set "To the Point" and made something...

When you have limited stamp sets, you get more creative...agree? It's a lesson from my earlier stamping days. I had very few sets of stamps ( I started out with just two sets or so) and sometimes for certain challenges, you HAVE to use the stamp company's stamps to play (it was Hero Arts, in my case). I think I used the stamps to the max and made some weird funny cards. They look hideous to me now, but I am glad those exercises prompted me to be a more creative stamper.

I stamped the small solid arrow images from darkest to the lightest. That was kind of fun. Then I applied various shades of orange with Distress Inks to the diecut and created a sun-like design. I also looped some gold strings around (for good measure) and added a few sequins.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

That's one of the things I remember about you from the early Hero Arts days Virginia! I was always in awe of the creative ways you used what you had to work with whatever the challenge was! Remember how they used to be weekly challenges?? I miss those days:). Anyway- your card composition is very artful and interesting!

You've showcased your one and only AE stamp (you have 100% more AE than I do - a situation I must address soon!) with maximum impact. This is a gorgeous card. The blue/orange & whisper of yellow - eye-catching! Wonderful layout! Beautiful!
