Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge # 273

wed-newchallenge-header

Welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Challenge !! Thank you for joining us for the  Spots and Dots Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too :-)

This week the challenge is...

Emboss It

We are using embossing technique  this week. You can dry emboss, heat emboss or even use embossing paste!

I did all three types of embossing. Have you tried embossing on vellum? It is so satisfying! The vellum gives such a floating feel to the design. I love using them on butterfly and flowers images. Choose an intricate stamp and emboss! You don't even need to color them if you use colored embossing powder. The embossed images speak volumes!

thanks
edited: I used TWO different embossing powder for the flowers.
Dry embossing: Lifestyle embossing folder
Heat embossing: Zing Powder by American Crafts (Mustard, Apricot )
Embossing Paste: Heidi Swapp Confetti stencil and White Embossing Paste by Wendy Vecchi
Supplies: Altenew Hennah Elements

As always, Simon Says Stamp will be giving away a $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store!

WOW!! I LOVE this card. The orange embossed vellum is just fabulous. I also like the embossing paste dots.

I have to admit that I do not like embossing on vellum. It always buckles and I don't like that. Yours didn't though. How did you do that?

Beautiful card!!

The card is beautiful but I can't understand how you got two different colors of them bossing in the same flower. And you share your technique?

Thanks, EVERYONE, for your comments on this card. To answer Amy's question about two different colors of flowers? I did use TWO different embossing powder (Apricot and Mustard) for the large and small flowers. It's easy t o see :)

Barb Ghig said...

Oh my, Virginia! Your flowers are absolutely GORGEOUS! I love how you used the Mustard and Apricot embossing powders on vellum...they really pop against the black embossed panel! I also love all the pretty dots and stems you added to the background!

What inspires me most about this card is how you used 3 techniques, yet the card doesn't feel cluttered at all, and your color combo is just beautiful!
