A Card....I Was at George Clooney's Wedding-Almost!

Did you know that today is World Tourism Day? And it's also George Clooney's wedding day?

Well, in the last two days, I was bombarded with George Clooney's wedding news (see here)! Our wedding watcher/observer -Dr. John, our home source of celebrity gossip, is most enthusiastic about the wedding!

My daughter Stephanie's Facebook status can give you an idea...
Dad: Do you know where George Clooney is getting married?
Me: No.
Dad: Venice! The reception is going to be at the five star hotel we passed, the one with a view of the Rialto Bridge. He is a big fan of Venice and has his own boat and...
Me: Wait, why do you care?
Dad: He only invited 60 guests. I was guest #61.
[Edit from Dad: "Stephanie, it's a SEVEN star hotel. It's one of only two in the world." My bad.]

You see, we were just THERE--Venice! I thought it would be fun to do a comparison....Virginia Style!
We all took private water taxi to get to our hotels.
This was what happened when the wedding party arrived yesterday in Venice...
And this was when we arrived in Venice...
No crowds or paparazzi  :)

On to today's card... this is the 2nd rendition using exactly the same stamp and die (see previous one here)
Sparkler
 with the sentiment called Exultation.
Here is the result
Noel
I used Tim Holz Distress Inks (not markers) to color the image. It was really fast and easy! I might try to make a video and share the creative process (if interested). I cut off one side of the kraft card stock and layered it with pink vellum. The die cut sentiment was made with DCWV Glitter paper.
Needless to say....I left my heart in Venice.

Heck yes we're interested in a video. Your card is beautiful. Almost as beautiful as Venice. So romantic. Your family and George Clooney (& entourage) there at the same time. You're practically related.

Well, it is George's loss that you didn't make his wedding! Love the pics and I have already told my hubby that I want to stay in a 7 star hotel for our next holiday :) Wonderful card too - love the way colours look on kraft and that large flower is so striking.

Oh Virginia ~ Your card is absolutely beautiful! Your Poinsettia is so pretty and you colored it so perfectly! Love your design and fab sentiment, too! I would love to see a video, if you have time!

Thanks for the photos! You and Dr. John are too funny...and I'm sure George Clooney would have been honored to have you all at his wedding :)
In those last few photos, you show the view from the back of the boat...I'm sure the paparazzi was in 'front' of your boat escorting you and your family in to the city of Venice, and that's why we don't see them ~ LOL!!!

You're brilliant - love the photo comparisons! I can certainly see why you left your heart in Venice; it's a stunning city, indeed. Speaking of stunning - your lovely card and yes, yes, yes please make a tutorial/video! Seeing the process that lead to this gem would be fabulous!
