A Venice-Inspired Card!

I have been making so many Christmas cards lately, I thought it would be fun to take a break from Christmas cards and re-live my travel.
This is the card that I made with the stamp that I bought in Venice.
Grazie
Let's start our virtual tour where we left off from last time--Venice! It looks like I am forever stuck in Venice.....what can I say? I am still in love with that city!

And can you believe that I actually found some awesome stationary stores and even a stamp store in the middle of exploring!

This was the stamp store!
Can you imagine my surprise to see stamps? I ended up buying just ONE stamp.
I was told by the store owner that these stamps came from Florence. Because of the high price (one wood stamp costs around $20 US), I chose the gondolier one.
with Rialto Bridge
My card and souvenir (Rialto Bridge).

Dr. John was obsessed with the iconic Rialto Bridge, so we had lots of photos of the bridge from different angles...
Hope you enjoy the virtual trip and card.
Thanks for stopping by!

Nice gondola stamps! Such a nice personal connection to the card. I am wondering if the gondoliers sing like they sing here in venetian Resort in Macau, while taxing around.

The card is really gorgeous...the price of the stamp (gulp!) was worth it, I think. Your photos always make me happy...I can see why Dr. John was fascinated by the bridge...it's structure and design is amazing.
