Paper-piecing!

Happy Friday!
It's been a long while since I played paper-piecing, I couldn't help getting this new (to me) stamp out to play. I stamped a bunch of paper airplane images on assorted colorful paper and cut them out in front of TV....This is what I ended up with.
Stamps: Sending You
Paper: DCWV
Accessories: Pop Dots (Michael's), Wink of Stella (coloring the hearts)
The entire card was made with patterned paper (except the white card stock). I added some pop dots for 3 paper planes for dimension. Easy peasy!

Did you know that you can multi-task while TV-watching?
We recently got HD digital cable and a PVR ( I know, I am so old-school!) and I have been busy watching all the shows that I love. My favorite station is PBS (yes, I am old!), Sunday's Masterpiece Theater's line-up is the best! I am looking forward to Downton Abbey and the new Mystery series "Grantchester"!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Are you a mystery buff? I can't miss a PBS mystery or Downton Abbey. If I do, I'm totally bereft. After all, Sherlock Holmes is my idol in all his reincarnations all the way back to Basil Rathbone. (Now, talk about being old, I'm it!) What I really wanted to say before I read the last line of your post is, I LOVE these paper-pieced paper airplanes and the card you stuck them on. It's sure to be a winner.

This card is utterly adorable, Virginia - I love all of the patterned papers you used to make the airplanes.

Yes, I love Downton Abbey! And, do you watch Doc Martin?? It is my favorite. And, if you consider yourself old, then I am ancient. :*)

I am also a Downton Abbey fan. When we went to London this past summer, I tried to get tickets to visit but it was already sold out. Have fun watching!!

Have been catching up with your most recent creations--I can't keep up with you card makers that release so many cards!! You always have great fun and results with your experiments and I like that you incorporate all kinds of styles!!! I especially LOVE the green number with your white die cuts. I could comment on all, but for the sake of time will say that I have loved everything as I am working my way back in time. Speaking of back in time, love the Downton and I just discovered Grantchester!! And no you are not old, and yes, I do watch the shows as I work on my cards, especially reruns. I did that with last season of Downton, so I could refresh before season 5!! Need to play along with you in Feb. for your challenge. It's been a very long time since I did so-- it was the water color challenge last spring????!!!! Yikes! xo Kate
