Channeling My Inner Laura...

Today's card was inspired by my dear friend Laura Bassen. I have been taking the online card class "Stretch Your Dies".  As always, Laura shared a lovely idea on Day 6 of the class. Her execution is simply peerless.

I am no Laura, but this card sure has every bit of influence from Laura.
wishing you happy birthday

~ the wavy lines are made with a wavy-lined die-turned-stencil from Avery Elle's Custom Panels
~stacked word dies are from Wishing Wafer Die by Simon Says Stamp
~brightly colored flowers were leftovers. I also felt insecure about the wavy lines that I created. So I wanted to cover them up a bit :)

I was not thrilled about my color blending .... as you can tell, it started out GOOD from the top...then it all went down hill! I almost wanted to scrap it. BUT I decided to make "something" out of it... So here it is!
Thanks, Laura, for the GREAT inspiration :)
Thanks for stopping by!

You made something dreamy and fantastic. Think you're being a little hard on yourself. The colors are lovely and make me think of what heaven must look like.

I think this is absolutely amazing Virginia~nothing to feel insecure about! These waves totally caught my eye~I love this card so much. ;) The bright colors you achieved on the flowers remind me of a Kimono Obi I had as a child...pinkish/orange~brightest color I'd ever laid eyes on! I'm so grateful you didn't scrap this!
