Working with Die Cut Scraps!

Hey friends!
Got scraps? Yup....I am talking about the leftover pieces that you throw away AFTER making the die cut.

You may have seen me using Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles many times now. I love the uniformly cut pieces . Sometimes the leftover pieces look too good to be thrown away! So, I gathered, adhered the strips of paper and made them into part of the background. The flower, sentiment and vellum were after-thoughts. It's funny how this card came about, right?

The scraps totally worked, in my humble opinion ;)
Hope you have a fabulous week ahead!

I am amazed Virginia. This card looks like it was designed to be cut like this, not to be just scraps. The stripes are prefect. The vellum, flower and thread just finish it.

Good morning sweetie - wow, what a great idea! I also have a TON of scraps, from almost every die I own! I just have the hardest time throwing this stuff away. I am going to start looking at these scraps differently now that I've seen your card. It's fantastic. Especially the one little piece that is multicolored (maybe from a fabulous watercolor?). LOVE IT!!!

I also have a hard time throwing out scraps (you can punch something from the littlest pieces...)! It makes me very happy when I can use up some but I always create more than I use...
Your card looks fabulous!

So smart to keep those little strips. They add so much to this lovely card. Really amazing blending you achieved on your focal point bloom. Gorgeous.
