Virginia's Blog Followers Appreciation Giveaway!

Dear friends, readers and followers of "Yes, Virginia" blog:
It is time to do a huge giveaway to those who have supported, encouraged and commented in my blog.
Your comments and positive feedback truly keep me going!

My daughter Stephanie and I had a conversation not too long ago. I think she is very wise
Virginia: "I don't get as creative like I used to...too many stamps...they are cluttering my mind!".
Stephanie: "Mommy, you have WAY more stamps that you can use, why not share the love? It's psychologically proven that sharing makes one happy!"
Virginia: "Duh...why don't I do that...I have awesome blog friends and followers!".

What this blog is about:
1. (90%) card-making: stamping, techniques, challenges and trends.
2. (5%) traveling: my family loves to travel: our adventures from Amsterdam to Istanbul...and Venice and Vegas, too. I bring my pet cat Alexia everywhere I travel.
3. (3%) food: I love to cook and eat. I share step by step photos and recipes.
4. (2%) anything that is fun and inspiring.

I am doing this giveaway to thank YOU.  It's as simple as that.
Please do the following:
1. leave a comment in this post for this giveaway
2. comment only once per person
3. become a follower if you are not already one (via bloglovin', Feedly,...)
4. please tell me what you like about this blog or anything that you want to share

The deadline for entry is Sept. 4, 12:01pm , Eastern Time. 3 winners will be announced on Sept.10, 2015, 12:01 am Eastern Time

I will pick 3 random winners (internationals are welcome). Two winners will get "Virginia's Crafty Goodies" that include:  stamps (lots of them!), dies, stencils, embellishments ...they are valued at well over $100 US each. I won't even have photos for you this time. The lucky winners will get the surprise in the mail and can/will share in their blog, website, instagram...and we will all find out what they got! How about that?

As for the 3rd winner, he/she will get a $25 Neat and Tangled Gift card ( I love their stamps and the fabulous owner/designers behind it)
http://www.neatandtangled.com/collections/all-stamps

Please follow my blog and comment in this very post.
Please feel free to tell your friends about this blog and giveaway. I am keeping this open for nearly a month because summer time is a busy time: being outdoors, going on vacations...etc. I want to make sure everyone has a chance to enter.

Lastly, I am sharing a card with Partial Diecut technique.
I need VitaminSea
First, I did stamping with MISTI. It's so easy to stamp the colors with the help of MISTI. I then did the partial die cut with the sail boats. I used  a stencil to add the blue stripes and silver embossing paste as part of the sea. The blue splatter was added for the final touch.
2015-07-30 001
Thank you, thank you very much!
Lastly, here are the Craftsy classes that are on sale right now.
Good luck on your entry for this Giveaway!

Hello, Virginia! Thank you for a fun giveaway! I have signed up to follow your blog. I haven't followed any since Google Reader ceased to exist. I enjoy visiting your blog for a few reasons. First, you seem to have a very cheerful personality, you're kind and humble. I love your innovative style of stamping and I can see you truly enjoy cardmaking. I appreciate your thoughts on child raising and importance of reading to your kids. Some travel observations really spoke to me, like your thought on a very controlled life in Russia...

I often look at all the gorgeous entries on Virginia's view challenge. I often mean to enter the challenge and sometimes even start a project, but lack of time and being distracted by amazing blogs (like this one) means I create much less often than I surf the net looking at eye candy. I came across this blog through the neat and tangled hop and was blown away by your gorgeous alcohol ink heart of gold. I don't know why I haven't come over here more often from your challenge site - but I definitely will in the future.

I began following you when I saw your cards showing up on oh so very many sites that I watched. I began to realize that the cards I liked best were almost always yours - your style was uncluttered and the colors were superb and nearly every one I saw inspired me to try something using something you did or you perfected or demonstrated. You inspire me with every post - also, I will always be an armchair traveler only, so I really enjoy your photos and descriptions of places I see in the photos of others.

Ocean Dreams is a great stamp set, and as usual, you showed me that the colors you used are terrific together. I'm a "brightsy" sort of person--never using those colors, and I really do like them. I want to get some of your color combos under my belt so I actually use them in my own cardmaking.

Parker said...

Your card using the Ocean Dreams is such a cute and wonderful card. I love the color combo. That's what you really, really teach me is to use colors I generally don't use. My hand just firstly reaches for the bright flashy colors first and doesn't give the more pretty subtle colors a chance. Thanks for all you've taught me.
