Create a Wreath with Dies

Hello friends!
Previously, I shared how to create a wreath with stamps (see here). Guess what, today's post is all about using dies to create a wreath.

This Stitched Maple Trio dies from Simon Says Stamp are excellent for the value and perform beautifully. If you have been in card-making for a long while (like me), you probably have a leaf punch or two? I have a few Marvey punches and the leaf ones were my favorites. The good thing about having the dies these days is that the details on the leaf are awesome. That deep etched lines on the leaves make a huge difference. No wonder those punches are obsolete now!
Giving Thanks
I started out with creating my own watercolor paper with Peerless and once the colored paper is dry, I made the die cut. Arranging the wreath is truly the fun part. Using a circle as a guide, it is easy to arrange!
Taking a walk around my neighborhood is my daily routine. The beautiful fall leaves are quite a sight to see. I enjoy examining the leaves and always find some unexpected colors/hues every time I take a closer look at the leaves. And today, I interpret what I saw in my wreath card....

Virginia, it is always such a treat to read your wonderful posts . i love how you include so much about your day ,family, and all the inspiration you give us for cards. Dr. John adds beautiful photos as well , explaining about the pictures . He would be a favorite teacher. Your wreath card today is just beautiful with all the detail in the leaves. Now,I'm thinking of getting the leaf dies. When I see the photo of the gorgeous leaves in your yard,it makes me a little homesick for my hometown, Alton, Illinois. This time of year the leaves along the bluffs are already starting to turn. The Mississippi River runs right along side of downtown.
I wanted you to know how much I appreciate your posts and cards.

Virginia, I've made "wreath" cards using many leaf stamps ... your card is extraordinary. I can't decide: is the colors, the die cutting or Virginia's artistry? Lovely.
