Pink Power Bloghop

Hello friends!
Today I am joining a few wonderful stamping friends for a meaningful cause. You probably arrived from Laurel Beard's Blog. If not, you can join the hop now. The purpose of the  Pink Power Bloghop is to spread breast cancer awareness and support our loved ones going through BC treatment. I've had two mammograms so far and thankfully the results were all fine. I am following the self-check guideline and will continue to do my mammogram when it's due again next year.
Today's hop starts at Chaitali's blog. Chaitali has rounded up some of her crafty friends to help spread BC awareness. This is a cause close to her heart because she lost her mom to it earlier this year.
What you should do:
Please do a self check every month and if you are not sure how, please go see your family physician and “Go Get Checked!Early detection is really the key to curing BC. Unfortunately, Chaitali's Mom was diagnosed late at Stage 3. Chaitali designed the Pink Power set for her mom with a lot of love when her mom was undergoing treatment.

I am sharing a card with a large pink heart. This stamp set by Technique Tuesday was designed by the former online Paper Crafts and Scrapbooking editor Cath Edvalson.
you touched my heart
I first embossed the heart in white on watercolor card stock. I then proceeded to spray the Sugar Plum mist (Heidi Swapp) and then I added the pink shading with the help of Picked Raspberry. I also stamped the flower with the "Generation Stamping". Even though it is all about pink, I was happy to see that the shades of pink weren't too overwhelming and are able to convey the depth.
Giveaway:
Chaitali is asking readers to comment on her blog post about when they last had their checkup. The 3 people with the most recent checkup dates will win an  “I Think Pink” package from Chaitali with a bunch of pink goodies including the Pink Power stamp set. How awesome is that?  Chaitali is bringing this awareness to us through the loss of her Mom. For that, I am grateful to Chaitali. However, I was saddened to find out that her Mom passed away this year.
Your next stop is the fabulous Catherine Pooler.

This is absolutely a beautiful pink card for a beautiful cause Virginia! This is a topic close to my and my hubby's heart. His eldest sister is a breast cancer survivor, going on her 4th years now. She's still on chemo pills. We thanks the good Lord for letting her still be with us and pray that she'll be around for a very long time. She's only in her mid 40's. I'm so glad to hear that you and many other crafty friends are spreading this awareness. Thank you.

Hugs, Christina

This card will most certainly please and uplift the recipient...it's beautiful. It also is and excellent reminder to get that mammogram sooner rather than later. Had not heard of Chaitali's loss...this disease has touched so many.

A beautiful card to remind us all to check check check!!!! Self awareness is the best way to early detection of BC. I have annual mammograms which luckily are free here in NZ from a certain age.
